Bride Wars. Il matrimonio è davvero una guerra?

Kate Hudson, Anne Hathaway, matrimonio

Badate bene: non una festa perché bisogna ubriacarsi e fare baldoria a tutto andare e don't stop make it pop, DJ blow my speakers up (scusate...a volta la voglia di cantare mi prende in maniera incontenibile).

3. Ohmmmm....Ohmmmm....il segreto è...................lo yoga! No scherzo. Però dovete stare calme. Sul serio, ora non sto scherzando. Calme.

ENGLISH VERSION

This will be a very long post. But I do it for your sanity. Let me tell you this.

A few days ago I watched for the first time "Bride Wars," the 2009 movie starring Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson.
Well, this female comedy is about two best friends, who are planning their own weddings, and they are  forced to celebrate their weddings in the same place (the Plaza Hotel in New York), on the same day. In short, there are two protagonists when the protagonist should be one and only one. The nightmare of every bride. The two best friends transforme themselves into two beasts ready for any subterfuge in order to bring down the enemy and gain the leadership of the Plaza, on their wedding day. And they spend the time before their wedding in an atmosphere of great stress and turmoil and ruining the best time of their lives.
Now.
Beyond the fact that this is a typically American comedy, there's a truth in this comedy.
The fact is that many brides appear stressed. Exhausted. So agitated that their poodle cloak becomes smooth. So agitated that their goldfish decides to drown in his water tank. So agitated that the fiancé wonders why the day when he made the proposal instead he hasn't decided to take a walk in the Amazon rainforest, as it might have been more relaxing.
But it's worth it?
I think it doesn't. I mean, the wedding must be above all a party. Mind you: not a party to party and get drunk because you have to go around and don't stop make it pop, DJ blow my speakers up (oh sorry...sometimes I feel the need to stop and sing). It's a party because, we celebrate and seal a great love. And parties, should be especially fun for those who participate, but also for those who are organizing them.
You will say: oh but it's so easy for you to talk, try to organize a wedding and think about stationery/ suits/wedding favors/music/wedding reception/flowers/photos/videos/various-and-possible. Yes, it's true: there are a lot of things to organize, and of course your biggest wish is that everything is for the best.
Now let me give you some advice, depending on the preferences of each of you:

1. Hire a wedding planner. Of course I'm talking about a true professional, not an improvised wedding planner. Believe me, hiring a wedding planner does not necessarily mean spending more money. Of course, he will have his fee, but thanks to his experience you will meet the best suppliers, also in terms of budget, and so there will be a good chance that you will also save money!

2. If you don't want to hire a wedding planner because you prefer to organize your wedding by yourself, then take some time. Arranging everything in a few months it means to run and concentrate all the issues to think about in a short time, while delaying everything means you have enough time to face each problem at a time, and secondly, you will also defer the costs over time.

3. Ohmmmm....Ohmmmm.........................the secret is yoga! No, I'm joking. But seriously, you have to keep calm. Calm. Your mother makes you feel the pressure because you have to go absolutely to choose the right wedding favors? If you can't choose them today you can see them tomorrow! The ribbon of the invitations has not the color you imagined? The ribbon can be changed, there is remedy at all!

Remember that this time will not be repeated ever again, so ENJOY IT!
