Buongiorno a tutti!

Continuiamo con le nostre ispiration boards...che vi devo dire, mi sono presa troppo bene a farle! :) Sarà che mi ricordano l'università, quando per ogni progetto dovevamo fare migliaia di moodboards! Ahhh cari vecchi tempi!

Quella di oggi poi, mi piace in particolar modo: un' inspiration board su un matrimonio a tema acquerelli, con colori tenuti e acquosi ma allo stesso tempo molto allegri. Perfetto per un matrimonio primaverile e molto chic, adatto soprattutto se gli sposi sono un po' artisti (sarà che io sono designer e ho sempre avuto velleità artistiche, lo trovo stupendo).

Here is another ispiration boards...what can I say, I like them! :) They remind me of university, when for every project we had to make thousands of moodboards! Ahhh the good old days!

I especially like this one: an inspiration board for a watercolors themed wedding, which is full of colors, watery but very happy at the same time. Perfect for a spring and very chic wedding, suitable especially if the bride and groom are artists ( I am a designer and have always had artistic ambitions, so I think this is amazing).

Un matrimonio hipster *A Hipster Wedding*

Iniziamo giugno con un bel post su un...beh definirlo matrimonio a tema sarebbe inesatto. Lo definirei più un lifestyle wedding (non chiedetemi la traduzione in italiano, non ve la saprei fare senza fare il sembrare il tutto molto brutto).

Parliamo infatti di un matrimonio hipster. Un matrimonio è hipster semplicemente perché gli sposi (e molto probabilmente anche i loro amici) sono hipster.

Ma partiamo dalla definizione di hipster: il termine hipster risale agli anni '40 e in origine si riferiva a ragazzi bianchi che tentavano di emulare i jazzisti americani. Oggi hipster significa alternativo, non "mainstream": l'hipster è colui che pur proveniendo molte volte da situazioni agiate, rifiuta di seguire la massa e rivolge la propria attenzione a culture diverse - dalla musica underground, al cibo vegetariano, all'attenzione per l'ambiente, fino a passare alla moda vintage.

Ora, aldilà del fatto che essere hipster è perlopiù una moda (però non provate a dare dell'hipster a un hipster, potrebbe insultarvi pesantemente), trovo che il loro stile abbia un senso. Oh, a me piace!

E mi piace soprattutto il matrimonio hipster: informale, giovane, libero, divertente e spesso anche economico, perché ricco di DIY e idee facilmente realizzabili.

Ho raccolto un po' di ispirazioni, molte delle quali derivano da Etsy (sto diventando decisamente Etsy addicted!).

We start June blogging about a hipster wedding. A wedding is hipster simply because the bride and the groom (and most likely their friends) are hipster.
But let's start from the definition of hipster: the term hipster dates back to the 40s and was originally referred to white guys who were trying to emulate American jazz musicians. Today hipster means alternative, not "mainstream": the hipster is one that despite coming from well-off situations, refuses to follow the crowd and turns his attention to different cultures - from the underground music scene, to vegetarian food, to the attention to the environment, to vintage fashion.
Now, beyond the fact that being a hipster is mostly fashion (but do not try to call a hipster, hipster, it might insult you heavily), I find that their style is amazing. Oh, I like it!
And I especially like the hipster wedding: casual, young, free, funny, and often cheap.
I picked up a bit of inspiration, many of which from Etsy (I'm getting quite addicted to Etsy!).

Partiamo come di consueto, dalle partecipazioni: carta reciclata (siamo ambientalisti!), effetti vintage e font minimal. Queste sono acquistabili su Etsy, rispettivamente negli shop di ShabbyScrap, di ThatNoiseGallery e di WhatPeggySaid.

We start from wedding invitations: recycled paper, vintage and minimal fonts. These are sold on Etsy, respectively in the shop of ShabbyScrap, ThatNoiseGallery and WhatPeggySaid.

Gli sposi hipster in fatto di look hanno la possibilità di giocare molto. Per la sposa, abiti morbidi scivolati o corti abbinati con calze colorate, comunque niente di ingombrante e impegnativo. Per lo sposo immancabile il papillon, accompagnato dai classici occhialetti vintage da "nerd" (ovviamente se indossa gli occhiali). Ho raccolto delle ispirazioni, personalmente adoro il papillon in legno (acquistabile su Etsy nello shop di AFlutteredCollection) e la giarrettiera con il cervo (il cervo è un simbolo importante della cultura hipster). Qualche baffo qua e là completerà il tutto! :)

Hipster bride and groom have a lot of fashion opportunities. For the bride, soft dresses or shorts dresses matched with colored socks, nothing flashy and challenging. For the groom bow tie, accompanied by classic nerd vintage glasses. I picked some inspiration, I love the wood bow tie (sold on Etsy in the AFlutteredCollection shop) and the garter with the deer (the deer is an important symbol of hipster culture). Some mustache here complete the whole thing! :)

Ovviamente, il mezzo prediletto con cui si muoveranno gli sposi hipster sarà la bicicletta, mezzo di trasporto consueto degli hipster (economica e a impatto 0). Altrimenti, una vecchia motoretta sgangherata potrà risultare abbastanza cheap da essere all'altezza della situazione!(Non sarebbe a impatto 0, ma l'effetto alternativo è garantito ugualmente).

Obviously, bike is the hipster getaway car. Otherwise, an old motorbike will be cheap enough to be up to the task!

Un matrimonio a tema rock'n'roll *rock'n'roll themed wedding*

Oggi voglio parlare di un matrimonio a tema che adoro...il matrimonio rock'n'roll!

Dovete sapere che nella mia vita io ho sempre fatto musica, prima suonando il pianoforte e poi cantando. Questo perciò è un tema che sento molto mio, oltre che davvero scenografico e grintoso!

Chitarre, dischi di vinile, note musicali, amplificatori, ogni elemento è a tema e richiama gli strumenti musicali e l'estetica del genere musicale.

Today I'm gonna talk about a themed wedding that I love...the rock'n'roll wedding!

In my life I've always played music, previously playing the piano and then singing. This is therefore  a theme wedding that I feel very close to me, and it is also really spectacular and bold!
Guitars, vinyl records, music notes, amplifiers, each element recalls musical instruments and the aesthetics of the genre.

Partiamo come di consueto dalle partecipazioni. Le partecipazioni per un matrimonio a tema rock'n'roll possono essere più "classiche" (se per classiche si possono definire delle partecipazioni come quelle che vedete nella quarta immagine) oppure decisamente originali, utilizzato un cd che richiama il disco in vinile e nel quale è possibile registrare la partecipazione stessa (una partecipazione virtuale!).

Let's start as usual from wedding invitations. Invitations for a rock'n'roll themed wedding can be more "classic" or more original, using a cd that recalls the vinyl record and in which you can register your invitation (a virtual invitation!).

La sposa può osare un look grintoso da rockstar con un vestito colorato...magari nero! Le tendenze del prossimo anno lo danno come uno dei colori da tenere a mente per la sposa. Se invece volete essere rock, ma in maniera più soft, si possono abbinare un paio di scarpe molto appariscenti a un abito bianco...l'effetto è garantito!

Matrimonio a tema anni '20 ispirato a "Il Grande Gatsby" * The Great Gatsby inspired wedding*

E' il film dell'anno, tutti ne parlano, tutti ne scrivono e tutti lo leggono (me compresa). Parlo de "Il grande Gatsby".

Il 16 maggio uscirà nelle sale italiane il film con protagonisti Leonardo DiCaprio e Carey Mulligan, tratto dal romanzo dello scrittore americano Francis Scott Fitzgerald. Ambientato a New York nei ruggenti anni '20, il romanzo narra i fasti e l'energia che caratterizzarono la Jazz Age.

E quindi quale momento migliore se non ora, per parlare di un matrimonio vintage ispirato ai meravigliosi anni '20? Dal punto di vista modaiolo, i Roaring Twenties forniscono una varietà infinità di spunti con piume, frange, paillette, perle, vita bassa e forme morbide e scivolate che consentono una grande libertà di movimenti: la moda degli anni 20 si ispira alle flapper girls, disinibite e indipendenti ragazze che amavano ballare sulle note del jazz e del charleston, trasudando seduzione e indipendenza.

I colori dominanti sono l'oro e il nero, e tutto è contornato da un'aurea di malinconia e drammaticità.

It's the movie of the year, everyone talk about it, everybody write about it and everybody read it (including me). I'm talking about "The Great Gatsby".
On May 16, the film starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan will be released in the Italian movie theaters, adapted from the novel by American writer F. Scott Fitzgerald. Set in New York in the Roaring '20s, the novel talks about the splendor and energy that characterized the Jazz Age.
So what better time if not now, to talk about a vintage wedding inspired by the wonderful '20s? From the point of view of fashion, the Roaring Twenties provide an infinite variety of ideas with feathers, fringes, sequins, pearls, soft shapes that allow great freedom of movement: the fashion of the 20's is inspired by the flapper girls, independent and uninhibited girls who loved to dance to the tune of jazz and charleston, exuding charm and independence.
Dominant colors are gold and black, and everything is surrounded by an aura of melancholy and drama.

Smokey Eyes e capelli a onde sono i tratti più caratterizzanti del look di una sposa anni '20: il trucco di questi anni non è sobrio, ma anzi è piuttosto marcato; nonostante ciò riesce a essere comunque non volgare, ma anzi dà alla sposa una connotazione molto glamourous. Accessori di brillanti e fascette poste all'altezza della fronte valorizzano l'acconciatura, illuminando lo sguardo della sposa.
Gli abiti della sposa anni '20 hanno linee scivolate e sono ornati da frange, strass e paillette dorate, creando disegni e pattern sul tessuto. Le scarpe hanno tacchi non troppo alti e la punta arrotondata, e anche esse al bianco accostano brillantini e colori dorati.

Oggi preparatevi a un post ad alto contenuto diabetico...un matrimonio a tema candy!

L'idea è quella di ricreare nel matrimonio un candy shop di quelli pieni di colori e di dolciumi pro-carie, interpretando i vari elementi principali del matrimonio in base al tema: dalle bottoniere, alle bomboniere, ai bouquet, tutto dovrà essere in linea con il tema del matrimonio.

The idea is to recreate during a wedding a candy shop full of color and pro-caries candies, interpreting the various elements of the wedding: boutonnieres, wedding favors, bouquets, everything has to be in line with the theme.

Partiamo dai bouquet della sposa: i bouquet per un matrimonio a tema candy tra i fiori possono nascondere caramelle; un'alternativa molto divertente è sostituire i fiori con una stecca grossa di lecca-lecca e recarsi all'altare o verso lo sposo al comune con un dolce tra le mani. Anche le damigelle piccole possono accompagnare la sposa con un lecca lecca tra le mani...ma attenzione al mal di pancia! :)

Let's start with the bridal bouquet: The bouquet for a wedding themed candy can hide among the flowers real candies, and also a very fun idea is to replace the flowers with a big lollipop stick. Even the little bridesmaids may accompany the bride with a lollipop in their hands ... but beware of the stomach ache! :)

Anche lo sposo ha la possibilità di giocare con questo tema. E come? Con delle bottoniere a forma di lecca-lecca! Per acquistarle basta recarsi nel candy-shop più vicino a voi e appuntarle alla giacca, arricchendole magari con dei fiocchetti colorati e degli swarovski, che le impreziosiscano un po'.

Even the groom has the chance to play with this theme. And how? With lollipops used as boutonnieres! You can buy candy in a candy shop and then fix it to the jacket, enriching perhaps with colored bows and swarovski.

Tutto deve essere a tema: come segnaposti nei tavoli per gli ospiti si possono utilizzare delle stecche di lecca-lecca colorati.

Immancabile in un matrimonio a tema candy il candy bar. Si tratta di un'idea che arriva direttamente dagli USA, una specie di candy shop matrimoniale in miniatura, dove grandi e piccini (ne andranno matti!) possono immergersi in ogni tipo di leccornia: lecca-lecca, caramelle, marshmellow, chewing gum, confetti, ma anche muffins e cupcakes. Può essere dato un tocco vintage al candy bar utilizzando dei cartellini scritti con font vintage (per chi non lo sapesse il font è il carattere), che vengano posti sui contenitori dei dolci e nei quali vengano scritti i nomi delle caramelle contenute.

In un matrimonio a tema candy può essere simpatica l'idea di proporre lo zucchero filato, procurandosi una vera "cotton-candy machine", con la quale si possano fare direttamente sul posto delle stecche di zucchero rosa!

Anche noi abbiamo utilizzato i lecca-lecca per il servizio fotografico della nostra collezione...prontamente inaugurati da Ciccio, il mio Golden Retriever che ha partecipato attivamente agli scatti (vi metto la foto giusto per farvi capire che faccia -muso- da colpevole aveva) :)!

We have used lollipops during the photo shoot of our collection too...Ciccio, my Golden Retriever immediately tasted them!(I put the photo just to let you see his guilty face ) :)!

Matrimoni a tema: delle nozze da supereroi *Superhero Wedding*

Oggi mi sento un po' sul nerd andante per cui vi posto delle ispirazioni per un matrimonio dal tema decisamente funky...un matrimonio con tema supereroi e fumetti!

Ci vuole molto senso dello humor per organizzare un matrimonio del genere, e di sicuro non bisogna prendersi troppo sul serio, ma se fatto con lo spirito giusto diventa una vera festa! E se gli ospiti storcono il naso...beh, vuol dire che hanno perso il bambino che è in loro, per cui peggio per loro! :)

Today I feel a little nerd and that gives me the inspiration for a themed wedding which is very funky...a wedding with superheroes and comics!
It takes a lot of sense of humor to organize a wedding like that, but if done in the right spirit it becomes a real party! And if guests don't agree...well, it means they have lost the baby that is inside of them, so much worse for them! :)

Non avete idea del numero di foto e ispirazioni che ho trovato sul matrimoni a tema supereroi! Dalle partecipazioni fino ai gemelli per lo sposo, passando per le torte...è tutto un tripudio di Spider-man, Batman, colori forti ed espressioni onomatopeiche. Insomma, bando alla morigeratezza!

You have no idea of how many photos and inspirations I found about superhero themed weddings! From stationery to cufflinks and desserts...it's all a blaze of Spider-man, Batman, strong colors and onomatopoeic expressions.

La sposa può osare con colori accesi e accessori per capelli, spille, cuori pixelati in pieno stile superhero, come quelli creati da Janine Basil (si possono acquistare online sul suo sito). Qui sotto un'immagine di una real bride che li indossa, direttamente dal blog rocknrollbride (e dici poco!). Decisamente per una sposa fuori dagli schemi!

The bride can be bold with bright colors and pixelated-superhero style hair accessories, brooches, hearts and, such as those created by Janine Basil (you can buy them online on her website). Below there is an image of a real bride wearing them that comes directly from the rocknrollbride blog. Definitely for a bride who thinks outside the box!

Ma anche per lo sposo ci sono molte possibilità di sbizzarrirsi, con il tema supereroi (forse addirittura più che per la sposa). Si parte dal papillon con stampa a fumetti, passando per le calze a righe colorate fino ad arrivare ai gemelli, a forma di logo di Superman oppure di Batman. Un altro accessorio a tema molto carino è la bottoniera, che per chi non lo sapesse è il fiore all'occhiello: l'ultima tendenza è quella di sostituire il fiore con veri e proprio oggetti in miniatura, e in questo caso è stato sostituito nientemeno che dalle miniature di tutti i supereroi e protagonisti dei fumetti più famosi: Superman, Dragon Ball, Batman, Spiderman. I gemelli di Batman sono acquistabili online sul sito della Warner Bros WBShop.com, mentre la bottoniera a forma di fiore di Superman è acquistabile nell'Etsy shop di NewZLynn.

Un' altra idea molto simpatica è quella di indossare sotto la serissima camicia bianca, delle t-shirt con i vari loghi dei supereroi. Il divertimento è assicurato!!!

Anche i dolci ovviamente dovranno essere a tema, e anche qui il tema offre molti spunti: dai cookies con le espressioni onomatopeiche, ai cupcakes con i loghi, fino alla wedding cake con tanto di cartoline di fumetti. Anche le cannucce per bere i drink e i porta pop-corn (tipico snack da cinema, e quindi immancabile in un matrimonio di questo tipo) sono elementi tipici: questi li potrete trovare su Etsy nei negozi virtuali di thepartypenguin e di EmbellishedPaper.

Desserts have to be themed too, and again the theme offers many ideas: from cookies with  onomatopoeic expressions, to cupcakes with superhero logos, to the wedding cake with a lot of comic postcards. Straws and popcorn container (typical snacks from cinema, and therefore inevitable in a wedding like this) are typical elements: you can find them on Etsy thepartypenguin and EmbellishedPaper virtual shops.
