Oggi su Funky Wedding un post super colorato e un po' hipster su delle decorazioni da matrimonio decisamente...alternative!

Parliamo infatti di teste di animali colorate. Sono la mia ultima ossessione. Me ne comprerei a decine e le metterei in ogni angolo della casa. Attenzione: parliamo di teste finte ovviamente! Noi siamo animal friendly per cui a delle scenografiche corna di cervo appese sul camino preferiamo un cervo vivo e felice che scorrazza per le montagne. Esistono perciò delle alternative ancora più divertenti e scenografiche su Etsy: si tratta di teste di cervo o di altre animali in plastica o carta colorate, neon o meglio ancora, glitterate! Il trionfo del kitsch insomma, ma se mixate con le decorazioni giuste o accostate a colori tenui danno un tocco di sana follia che ci piace molto!

We talk about colorful animal heads. They are my latest obsession. I would buy a dozen of them and put them in every corner of my house. Please note: obviously we are talking about faux animal heads! We are animal friendly so instead of the scenic deer antlers hanging on the fireplace we prefer an alive and happy deer roaming the mountains. In addiction, there are even more fun and scenic alternatives on Etsy: you can find faux heads of deers or other animals in colored (but also neon and glitter!) plastic or paper. Of course, it is the triumph of kitsch, but if mixed with the right decorations or juxtaposed with soft colors, faux animal heads can give a touch of healthy madness that we really like!

Fiori per matrimonio originali: le margherite *Daisies Wedding*

Buongiorno a tutti!

Questo è il mio ultimo post prima di mandare per qualche settimana Funky Wedding in vacanza...e ovviamente non poteva che essere un post super allegro!

Oggi infatti parliamo di margherite. Le margherite sono la mia ultima passione in fatto di fiori da matrimonio (insieme ai ranuncoli...a breve in arrivo anche un post sui ranuncoli!), le trovo fresche, allegre, informali ed estive, oltre che economiche (il che non guasta mai). Possono essere utilizzate in molti aspetti del matrimonio, nei modi più tradizionali come nel bouquet e nei centritavola, ma anche come decorazioni per torte, cupcakes, sedie e via dicendo.

Ovviamente il colore predominante è il giallo, accostato al verde e al bianco. Ditemi quello che volete, ma io a un bouquet con mille fiori ricercati e giganti, preferisco la semplicità di tante piccole margheritine. Per non parlare dei cookies a forma di margherita...adorabili!

This is my last post for a few weeks before sending Funky Wedding on holiday...and of course it is a super happy post!

Today I'm gonna talk about daisies. Daisies are my latest passion when it comes to wedding flowers (along with ranunculus), I think that they are fresh, cheerful, informal and summery, as well as very cheap (which is not bad). They can be used in many aspects of the wedding, in more traditional ways such as bouquets and centerpieces, as well as decorations for cakes, cupcakes, chairs and so on.

Obviously, the main color is yellow, mixed with green and white. To bouquets with a thousand  refined and giants flowers, I prefer the simplicity of many small daisies. Not to mention the daisy-shaped cookies...adorable!

Bouquet

Piccolissime, grosse, solitarie, accostate ad altri colori...i bouquet di margherite sono un tripudio di allegria! Possono essere declinate in maniera rustica, con un bouquet un po' "spettinato", oppure vintage, in un bouquet più raccolto nel quale vengono accostate ad altri fiori e colori.

Small, large, solitary, mixed with other colors...daisies bouquets are joyous and happy! They can be declined in a rustic way, with a "messy" bouquet, or in a vintage way, with a more intimate bouquet in which daisies are juxtaposed with other flowers and colors.

Centritavola - Centerpieces

Nei centritavola le margherite possono essere utilizzate come unico fiore presente, oppure accostate ad altri fiori, utilizzando vasi colorati per aggiungere altre tonalità di colore al bianco e al giallo.

In centerpieces daisies can be used as only flower present, or mixed with other flowers, and you can use also colorful vases to add other shades of color to white and yellow.

Qui c'è molto da sbizzarrirsi. Le margherite possono essere utilizzate come semplice decorazione per wedding cakes, come toppers per cupcakes e come ispirazioni per creare forme di cookies.

There is a lot to have fun. Daisies can be used as a simple decoration for wedding cakes, as toppers for cupcakes and as inspiration to create shapes for cookies.

Decorazioni per un matrimonio anticonvenzionale: il camino finto *Wedding fake fireplaces*

Sisi camini finti! Avete capito bene! Camini finti ai matrimoni.

Sono innamorata di questo nuovo trend: si tratta di costruire (o farsi costruire), dei camini che possono essere utilizzati come decorazioni in più situazioni. Se la cerimonia è civile e si svolge all'aperto il camino finto può fare da sfondo alla cerimonia, mentre in alternativa può essere usato come decorazione per il ricevimento, come sfondo per un dessert table oppure per un photobooth. E' adatto a un matrimonio vintage/rustico e ha il vantaggio di poter essere impiegato in un matrimonio estivo: trovo infatti che i camini ai matrimoni abbiano un grande impatto scenografico, ma hanno indubbiamente più senso (soprattutto se accesi) in inverno. Però se vogliamo mostrare il lato pantofolaio che è in noi (adoro le sere di inverno, cammino acceso, libro in una mano e cioccolato nell'altra), questa è una bellissima alternativa estiva!

Come realizzarlo? Beh, l'ideale è rivolgersi a negozi di bricolage e a papà/nonni che abbiamo una buona manualità e che abbiano voglia di essere coinvolti in prima persona negli allestimenti! :)

Fake fireplaces.

Yeah you got it! Fake fireplaces as wedding decor.

I'm in love with this brand new trend: fireplaces can be used as decorations in many "wedding situations". If the ceremony is a civil outdoor ceremony,  fake fireplace can be used as backdrop to the ceremony, while alternatively it can be used as decoration for the reception, as background for a dessert table or for a photobooth. It is suitable for a vintage / rustic wedding and it has the advantage of being able to be used in a summer wedding: I think that fireplaces in weddings have a great visual impact, but they definitely make more sense in winter. But if we want to show the couch potato side that is inside us (I love the winter evenings, with fireplace, book in one hand and chocolate in the other), this is a great summer alternative!

How to realize it? Well, the ideal is to go to DIY stores and ask to dads / grandparents for an help :)

Oggi parliamo di wedding backdrops. I wedding backdrops hanno un'origine americana, e sono gli sfondi che vengono utilizzati durante i matrimoni in varie occasioni: possono essere utilizzati per un photobooth (che per chi non lo sapesse, è una mini servizio fotografico in genere scherzoso, organizzato durante il ricevimento per avere delle foto divertenti), per fare da sfondo a tavolo per i dolci, oppure ancora come decorazione per la celebrazione durante il rito civile. Ho individuato 15 idee per dei wedding backdrops molto creativi e originali: molti di loro è possibile produrli manualmente, dovete solo procurarvi i materiali giusti (in genere, poco costosi e facilmente reperibili, come carta o tessuto), e state pur certi che troverete tutti i tutorial su youtube per crearli -penso che abbiano creato un tutorial per qualsiasi oggetto su questa terra-, altri invece è possibile acquistarli su internet (Etsy Santo Subito). 

I have found 15 wedding backdrops ideas: you can make many of them on your own, you just need to get the right materials (usually inexpensive and readily available, such as paper or fabric), and you can be sure that you will find all tutorials to create them on youtube -I think they have created a tutorial for any subject on this earth-, while you can buy others on Etsy.

Roaring 20s mania: decorazioni con le piume *feathers wedding*

Ebbene, vi beccherete un po' di post sugli anni '20 nei prossimi giorni perché ho letto e visto "Il grande Gatsby" di recente e me ne sono perdutamente innamorata. Chi non sognerebbe un amore come quello che Gatsby prova per Daisy??? L'ho trovato struggente e incredibilmente romantico (e lo ammetto, la lacrimuccia ci è scappata)

E poi i costumi (Prada, adoro!), la musica (ascolto da giorni in loop "Young and beautiful" di Lana del Rey, che fa parte della colonna sonora)...e quell'irresistibile voglia di essere vissuta nella New York anni '20!

Inoltre ho trovato Leonardo Di Caprio molto bravo. E' un po' il suo destino, quello di finire tutti i film moribondo nell'acqua...però dai, dai tempi del Titanic ne è passata di acqua sotto i ponti! (ahah, umorismo spicciolo) :D

COMUNQUE

Ho già parlato di un matrimonio anni '20 ispirato a Gatsby qui, ma oggi parlerò nello specifico di uno degli elementi predominanti dei roaring 20s...le piume!
Prima di iniziare, so che vi starete chiedendo: e dove possiamo acquistare le piume con cui riempire i nostri matrimoni? Beh, nei negozi di hobbistica oppure nelle mercerie è possibile trovarle.

Con le piume la possibilità di sbizzarrirsi è grande: la sposa può optare per oggetti come spille per i capelli o copricapi con piume, ventagli e scarpe, ma anche giarrettiere o borsettine, tutte arricchite da piume di diversi colori.

Well, it looks like you'll read a lot about 20s in the next few days because I've read and watched "The Great Gatsby" recently and I fell madly in love with it. Who does not dream a love like Gatsby's love?
And then the fashion (Prada, love it!), the music (I've been listening for days to "Young and beautiful" by Lana del Rey, which is part of the soundtrack)...and that irresistible desire to live in 20s New York!
I also think that Leonardo DiCaprio was very good. It's his destiny, to finish lots of his movies dying in the water...:D

I have already talked about 20s inspired weddings here, but today I will blog specifically about one of the dominant elements of the roaring 20s...feathers!
Before I start, I know you're wondering: where can we buy feathers? Well, in hobby shops or in  haberdasheries you can find them.
With feathers bride can opt for objects such as pins or hats with feathers, fans and shoes, but also garters or purses, all embellished with feathers of different colors.
