Fiori per matrimonio originali: le margherite *Daisies Wedding*

Buongiorno a tutti!

Questo è il mio ultimo post prima di mandare per qualche settimana Funky Wedding in vacanza...e ovviamente non poteva che essere un post super allegro!

Oggi infatti parliamo di margherite. Le margherite sono la mia ultima passione in fatto di fiori da matrimonio (insieme ai ranuncoli...a breve in arrivo anche un post sui ranuncoli!), le trovo fresche, allegre, informali ed estive, oltre che economiche (il che non guasta mai). Possono essere utilizzate in molti aspetti del matrimonio, nei modi più tradizionali come nel bouquet e nei centritavola, ma anche come decorazioni per torte, cupcakes, sedie e via dicendo.

Ovviamente il colore predominante è il giallo, accostato al verde e al bianco. Ditemi quello che volete, ma io a un bouquet con mille fiori ricercati e giganti, preferisco la semplicità di tante piccole margheritine. Per non parlare dei cookies a forma di margherita...adorabili!

This is my last post for a few weeks before sending Funky Wedding on holiday...and of course it is a super happy post!

Today I'm gonna talk about daisies. Daisies are my latest passion when it comes to wedding flowers (along with ranunculus), I think that they are fresh, cheerful, informal and summery, as well as very cheap (which is not bad). They can be used in many aspects of the wedding, in more traditional ways such as bouquets and centerpieces, as well as decorations for cakes, cupcakes, chairs and so on.

Obviously, the main color is yellow, mixed with green and white. To bouquets with a thousand  refined and giants flowers, I prefer the simplicity of many small daisies. Not to mention the daisy-shaped cookies...adorable!

Bouquet

Piccolissime, grosse, solitarie, accostate ad altri colori...i bouquet di margherite sono un tripudio di allegria! Possono essere declinate in maniera rustica, con un bouquet un po' "spettinato", oppure vintage, in un bouquet più raccolto nel quale vengono accostate ad altri fiori e colori.

Small, large, solitary, mixed with other colors...daisies bouquets are joyous and happy! They can be declined in a rustic way, with a "messy" bouquet, or in a vintage way, with a more intimate bouquet in which daisies are juxtaposed with other flowers and colors.

Centritavola - Centerpieces

Nei centritavola le margherite possono essere utilizzate come unico fiore presente, oppure accostate ad altri fiori, utilizzando vasi colorati per aggiungere altre tonalità di colore al bianco e al giallo.

In centerpieces daisies can be used as only flower present, or mixed with other flowers, and you can use also colorful vases to add other shades of color to white and yellow.

Desserts
Qui c'è molto da sbizzarrirsi. Le margherite possono essere utilizzate come semplice decorazione per wedding cakes, come toppers per cupcakes e come ispirazioni per creare forme di cookies.

There is a lot to have fun. Daisies can be used as a simple decoration for wedding cakes, as toppers for cupcakes and as inspiration to create shapes for cookies.

Wedding trends: naked cakes

Sarà che l'estate che è arrivata con il conseguente scoprirsi.

Sarà che sono in semi-dieta (semi eh) e che cerco di limitare la mia voglia di dolci.

Sarà che effettivamente è inutile ammazzarsi di sport se poi ci si strafoga come se non ci fosse un domani (chi io? ma va!!! Io mica mi strafogo!!! :D)

Insomma, io da qualche giorno a questa parte, non faccio altro che guardare foto di wedding cakes e di dolciumi vari - ve ne sarete accorti da questo post che ho scritto settimana scorsa).

E devo dire che personalmente, se dovessi sposarmi a breve, avrei già scelto la mia wedding cake. 

Ho scoperto infatti un tipo di wedding cake bellissima, ossia la cosiddetta "naked cake". La torta nuda, non ricoperta di glassa, chiamata in gergo "Victoria Sponge", formata da delle basi di pan di spagna divise da crema. Adoro il fatto che la naked cake sia semplice e rustica ma allo stesso tempo molto raffinata e colorata: viene infatti decorata con fiori vari, frutta, e altre decorazioni.

Insomma, lascio che siano le immagini a parlare!


Summer has arrived and I've been watching wedding cakes and wedding desserts pictures, and I talked about it in this article last week.
And I must say that personally, if I were to get married soon, I would have already chosen my wedding cake.
In fact, I discovered a type of beautiful wedding cake, which is the so-called "naked cake." The naked cake is not covered with icing and it's called "Victoria Sponge": it's made by bases of sponge cake divided by layers of cream. I love the fact that the naked cake is simple and rustic but at the same time very elegant and colorful: it is decorated with flowers, fruit, and other decorations.

15 Alternative alla wedding cake - 15 cake alternative ideas

Oggi parliamo di alternative alla wedding cake.

Siamo abituati a vedere ai matrimoni le classiche torte a un piano (un po' old style, diciamocelo) oppure le più recenti wedding cake americane a più piani, ma perché non considerare di proporre ai propri ospiti un dessert alternativo?

1) Ciambelle - Doughnuts

Le doughnut americane io le adoro. Non devo comprarle perché se le ho in casa me le finisco tutte in un giorno. Come dessert per un matrimonio possono essere servite sciolte (oppure gli ospiti possono auto-servirsi, se si prepara un dessert table) o altrimenti possono costituire un ulteriore decoro per una torta.

I love american doughnuts. As wedding dessert they can be served loose (or guests can self-use, if you prepare a dessert table) or otherwise they can be an additional decoration for a cake.

2) Più torte di piccole dimensioni - Many little wedding cakes

Questa alternativa la trovo molto originale. Si tratta di sostituire la torta nuziale con tante piccole torte nuziali...su un dessert table vedere più "mini" torte è davvero carino!

I think this alternative idea is very original. It consists in replacing the wedding cake with a lot of small wedding cakes on a dessert table...the effect is really cute!

3) Cupcakes tower

Questa è un trend che sta prendendo rapidamente piede (ho visto già diversi matrimoni nei quale è stata usata): si tratta di una torre di cupcakes. In genere è sormontata da una piccola wedding cake, e le porzioni della torta da servire agli ospiti in questo caso sono costituite da tanti cupcakes.

This is a lovely new wedding trend: the cupcakes tower is often surmounted by a small wedding cake, and the portions of the cake to be served to guests in this case are made by many cupcakes.

4) Mini cakes

Sono mini-mini eh. Si tratta di piccole wedding cake in miniatura, della dimensione di un cupcake o poco più grandi. Bellissime da vedere, e anche da mangiare!

They are really mini huh. It is a wedding cake in miniature, it has the size of a cupcake or a little bigger. Beautiful to see, and also to eat!

5) Bundt cake
La bundt cake altro non è che il ciambellone. Bellissimo questo display di bundt cake, semplici da fare (potete coinvolgere anche le nonne!) e anche leggere da gustare.
